Welcome To Country

In traditional Aboriginal society, visitors would request permission to visit or pass through the Country of another group. Their request was met with a response, known as a Welcome to Country, which is still performed today, and is the responsibility of a Traditional Owner.

In this region, the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia, and Jupagulk Peoples are the Traditional Owners and are represented by Barengi Gadjin Land Council.

Services we provide are as follows:

  • Welcome to Country
