In 2017 BGLC purchased the old Wail Nursery, established in 1946 by the Victorian Forestry Commission, as a key action towards economic sustainability and job creation for the Traditional Owners and the broader community. 

Since taking over the nursery site and operation, BGLC has worked on redeveloping the site, upgrading infrastructure, building the capacity of our employees and community and ensuring that Traditional Owners are leading the critical task of revegetating areas in our region and across the state.
