About the Role
The Bush Bank Project Officer supports the establishment and delivery of the Bush Bank wattle seed production project at DGNN, focusing on site preparation, planting, maintenance, and project supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clearing, felling, burning and soil preparation
- Support restoration and planting works on site
- Assist with collecting, cleaning and propagating wattle seed
- Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures
- Provide oversight to staff assisting with the project
- Keep accurate records and progress reports
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping or land management
- Willingness to obtain 4WD, loader, chainsaw, ACUP and White Card
- Ability to work independently and supervise others
- Physical fitness for outdoor labour
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends
- Knowledge or enthusiasm for native plants
- Understanding of WJJWJ culture and objectives
