Cultural Day
Barengi Gadjin Land Council’s Cultural Day is about the here and now, who we are today and where we’ve come from. Grounded in culture. Strong in our identity. Together we’re celebrating NAIDOC Week – 50 years of Deadly!
Enjoy a family day of connecting to Culture and Community for all First Nations People, family and kin. Share a BBQ lunch and experience workshops in dance, language and a variety of other Cultural activities and experiences.

Art Exhibition & Bunjil’s View 3 Premiere
Goolum Goolum is excited to announce its annual NAIDOC Week Art Exhibition at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery. On display will be all forms of artwork, all created by our local Community. This exhibition will be running until August 2026.
Goolum Goolum is also thrilled to announce premiere of the last instalment of the Bunjil’s View film series ‘Unfinished Business’.

As a much loved and respected Elder of our Community, please enjoy a complimentary lunch hosted by Barengi Gadjin Land Council. We also invite a young person to celebrate with you in acknowledgement of the next generation of upcoming leaders.
This lunch celebrates you – our Elders and your role in who are today. Grounded in culture. Strong in our identity. Leading change across every field from health and education to media, business and the arts. Telling our own stories, in our own way, on our own terms.
And this lunch is about the future and supporting our young ones growing up proud. The return of language. The return of Country. The fight for justice continuing with new tools, new voices and the same fire.

Family Cabaret Evening – Friday 10 July 2026
Fifty Years of Deadly – NAIDOC has always been more than a week – it’s a platform, a protest, a celebration and a statement of survival.
Join us at Barengi Gadjin Land Council’s annual NAIDOC Week Cabaret to celebrate this deadly milestone in our history. There’ll be food, drinks, dancing, games and entertainment for ages – a chance for Mob to come together and celebrate in style!
